Another island worth mentioning is Fuerteventura. Here you can enjoy water sports such as kite surfing and windsurfing. The island is of a volcanic formation fondly called the Mecca of windsurfers.

Lanzarote is yet another volcanic island. It has attractive features occurring naturally. It is an easy island to access as it has a fully operational airport. Here you can enjoy water sports, the beach and tour the museums. The food here is also amazing and you can also get cheap beer.

The largest among these is Tenerife and it has great nightlife, parks, beaches as well as water sport facilities. The smallest is el Hierro with a calm environment making it ideal for getaways. It is a named biosphere reserve by UNESCO.

The second smallest is la Gomera. The waterfalls and Garajonay national park are major attractions. Next to Morocco lies the island la Palma. The volcanic landscapes are amazing with the very highest point being some 2464 meters high. The different features and facilities make the Canary Islands the place to be especially for a holiday.
